WOOLgathering ‘Warm and Wooly’ mittens and accessories are handcrafted. All of the wool used to create these seasonal accessories is sourced locally. We start with raw sheep’s wool, and process it through several stages.

Triple washed
The wool is triple-washed and rinsed, to ensure your purchase is made from fresh, clean Alberta
wool.
2.
Harmonious colours
We then forage for natural dye material and use processes proven over centuries to provide resilient, colour-fast shades in a range of harmonious colours.
3.
Spun with love
From there the wool is picked, carded and spun by hand into yarn.
4.
Warm and luxurious
This luxurious yarn is then hand-knit into mittens that are designed to put wool’s best insulating qualities to work to keep your hands warm and toasty through winter’s chill.
